The renovation of the Cynthia L. Blaschak Softball Field transformed an existing natural grass facility into a modern, all-weather venue built for year-round use. The project replaced the grass surface with a fully synthetic turf field designed to perform consistently across varying weather conditions and heavy athletic schedules.
Work included upgraded drainage systems, new lighting, spectator area improvements, fencing and netting upgrades, integrated field branding, and a new digital scoreboard. The improvements were carefully coordinated around the College’s athletic schedule to minimize disruption to an active campus.
The project received an American Sports Builders Association Distinguished Single-Field Facility Award, a national recognition for excellence in sports facility design and construction.
