Design-Build is a method of construction in which the design and construction of a building are contracted and controlled from one source – the Design-Builder. Whereas traditional construction methods require the client to serve as a referee/mediator between the general contractor and the architect, Design-Build construction allows for a single point of accountability, thereby creating a more organized and controlled project. This process helps prevent unnecessary delays in schedule and added construction costs due to unforeseen design discrepancies typical of traditional construction when plans are designed well in advance.

Allentown, PA

Cedar Crest College Dining Hall

The Cedar Crest College dining commons project consisted of a renovation of an existing 6,000 square foot dining facility located in Tompkins Hall at Cedar Crest College in Allentown, PA. The dining facility was constructed while classes were in session in a fully occupied building. This $800,000 renovation incorporated high-end finishes including ACG wood panel ceilings, Nanawall glass folding partitions, Terrazzo floors, and a European-style 360-degree fireplace.

Newtown Square, PA

Boiron

Skepton completed construction of a new 35,000 sft. office facility. Work included the complete demolition of all interior finishes and supporting infrastructure for the original two-story office building to create the new office and integrated distribution center for their headquarters.

Limerick, PA

Jacquet

Skepton constructed Jacquet’s US headquarters. This is the largest of Jacquet’s US facilities with over 110,000 sft. of storing commodity and specialty grades of stainless steel and nickel alloy.
